Guide Briefing / 04

A spoiler-safe starting point for STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT

STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is a story-led visual novel in which reading, observation and carefully timed interaction matter more than combat or character statistics. This STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT guide is designed for players who want orientation without learning a future twist by accident. The chapter reference explains how chapters, Phone Trigger events, messages and important decisions will be organized, while the route guide separates confirmed information from conditions that still require playtesting. New readers can learn the interface and save habits first; returning players can compare the reboot with the original without assuming every familiar solution still works.

Choices and routes without guessed results

Choices in STEINS;GATE are unusual because an interaction can be easy to miss even when no conventional dialogue menu appears. The phone may ring, a message may invite a reply or the player may be able to ignore an event. The STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT guide therefore indexes phone calls, message responses and major decisions separately. Each walkthrough entry can reveal only that a choice matters, explain its current-chapter effect or show the complete route consequence, depending on the selected spoiler level. This structure lets a player ask a narrow question without exposing every ending flag on the same screen.

Reboot Analysis / 06

What is confirmed to change in RE:BOOT

Official descriptions establish that RE:BOOT is more than a resolution update. It is based on the STEINS;GATE ELITE scenario while adding revised text, a new worldline and a new ending. Character voices have been recorded again, music has been rearranged, backgrounds and character artwork have been redrawn, and E-mote animation adds movement to character presentation. The comparison image below shows how a familiar Akihabara location has been rebuilt. These confirmed differences belong in a STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT guide because they help players decide which version to buy, but they do not reveal how to unlock the announced new content.

Release timing also depends on platform and region, so the guide records dates beside their source instead of presenting one date as universal. Xbox Series X|S and Steam are scheduled for August 20, 2026, while the English console releases on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 are scheduled for October 29, 2026. Platform availability, supported text languages and editions can affect a purchase decision, but they do not change the tracker calculation rules. After release, the walkthrough and route guide will be updated from direct playtesting; until then, confirmed production details remain separate from unverified choices and ending requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an official STEINS;GATE website?

No. This is an independent, fan-made guide and is not affiliated with MAGES., Spike Chunsoft, or the STEINS;GATE franchise.

Does the guide contain spoilers?

Some guide pages eventually will, but spoiler controls separate importance-only hints, current-chapter impact, and full route consequences.

How does Spoiler-Safe Mode work?

None shows only whether a choice matters. Current Chapter can explain local impact. Everything can reveal routes, flags, endings, and outcomes once verified.

Does the Route Tracker require an account?

No. Progress stays in localStorage in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to an account or server.

How are guide choices verified?

Guide records identify whether they are unverified, community reported, playtested, or confirmed. Calculations remain locked until their conditions are independently verified.

When are new walkthrough chapters added?

Chapter structures can be prepared early, but choice details are published only after they are observed and checked in STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT.
