What kind of game is it?
STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is a visual novel and adventure game. Most of your time is spent reading the story, but Okabe’s phone is not a decorative menu: how you handle calls and messages can change the story’s progression and ending.
The official site calls this the Phone Trigger System. Depending on the situation, you may answer, reply or ignore an interaction. You should therefore treat the phone as part of the narrative rather than a checklist that must be cleared every time it appears.
A spoiler-safe first playthrough
For a first run, the simplest approach is:
- Read at your own pace and respond as the character feels right to you.
- Keep several manual save slots instead of overwriting one save.
- Save before phone interactions when the game allows it.
- Do not copy route conditions from the original game or STEINS;GATE ELITE and assume they still apply.
- Use this site’s None spoiler level when you only want to know whether a choice matters.
RE:BOOT includes new narrative material, including an additional worldline and ending scenario. Until route requirements have been reproduced in the released game, this guide will not present guesses as solutions.

What is new in RE:BOOT?
The scenario is based on STEINS;GATE ELITE and adjusted for pacing and readability. The official materials also confirm new dialogue and narrative text, a new worldline and ending scenario, newly recorded voices, remade music, redrawn graphics and E-mote character animation.
